I have been fortunate and pleased to be a member of the "RARE" Bear Air Racing Team over the last several years. Hersh & Del Rourk made that introduction for me on the request I watch for coverage of the "RARE" Bear out here in Japan-we have three major full scale aircraft magazines.

A part of 1995 was RACE WEEK at Reno!! Here Rickie and son Jonathan are watching from the observation deck of the Bear van.

Another air racing friend was Don Beck of Lake Tahoe. Here I am readying for aerobatics over Lake Tahoe and a low level flight around the pylons in his two-place Christen Eagle. (Most unfortunately, a year later (the same week that we lost Tsunami) Don crashed into Lake Tahoe with a passenger doing the same hammerheads over the same place we had flown.)
